Beef and Garlic Stir-Fry

This super easy beef stir-fry is often served at Cantonese restaurants in Hong Kong, and I always order it because I love beef (and garlic!). Although I do like to indulge in American Chinese food from time to time, I think this stir-fry is perfect for those who are tired of American sesame chicken that is filled with sugar and chemicals. This dish is super quick to make, with only four ingredients that are certainly in your kitchen (no we don’t use sesame in every single fucking dish, thank you PF Chang’s).

6oz (170g) lean beef
3-4 cloves garlic, sliced
1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
Black pepper to taste (I think I used more than a teaspoon)
Oil for frying

  1. Cut beef into bite size, toss it in a bowl with soy sauce and black pepper
  2. In a wok, heat some oil over high heat, add garlic into the wok and stir constantly till it’s fragrant
  3. Add beef into the wok and quickly cook until the outside is cooked (don’t overcook!), serve immediately
